Friendship warms the soul

Today I am posting for Kennedy Grace Creations.  I am showcasing the Kindness Medley sequin mix.  Lovely aqua,  soft green and silver sequins.  I used them to make a banner, well three banners actually.  I just simply drew where I wanted them in light pencil and glued them down in no sequence, simply how they came out of the container.  The sentiment is from the March release stamp set Grace's Happy Heart.  The little kitty is from a MFT stamp set I have had a while now sitting unused.  Given this is a fun card I thought he would add a little bit of whimsy. Those banners really sparkle and shimmer, you just can't get that from the photo which is a shame, they really are very pretty.

Penguins love hugs and kisses too....

Time for a Frantic Stamper Inc Post.

There are no hard and fast rules that say penguins have to stay in winter scenes.  These Frantic Stampers Playful Penguins are so cute they should be used for all sorts of themes.....so why not Valentines???  I mentioned a product in a previous post called Stick It (available from Frantic Stampers) and it comes into its own with the Valentines Confetti die and stacking one die cut on top of another.

For this card I die cut the XO from the Frantic Stamper Valentines Confetti Die quite a few times.  To add some dimension some are one layer some are two and others are three layers.  White on white is always effective and adds to the fun of this cheeky little fellow wanting to replace them with his pink X's and O's.  A strip of coloured paper on one edge completes the card and adds a little colour/interest.

So there you go penguins not only love snow but hugs and kisses too.

Love Blooms

This card really took a completely different course than I had intended.  Doesn't that often happen though, what you start out with in mind takes off on a completely different tangent.

I used the gardening tools die cut which was part of the Frantic Stamper Inc March 15th Spring Release. I cut the subtle blue tools to create my background.  Then added some bright blooms from the Pretty Posies stamp set.  Finishing off with sentiments from the new stamp set, Spring is Blooming and a few matching sequins for some sparkle.

I love how versatile these dies are.

Heres another card using the same Gardening Tools Set die to create a totally different look. On this one I coloured the tools to give them a no-line colour look.  Again the sentiment is from the Spring is Blooming Stamp set.

Spring is in the Air

Well not really, spring is some way off down here in New Zealand.  Autumn is in the air. The days are shorter and the evenings cooler, the trees aren't yet turning colour but it's just around the corner.  Despite this I couldn't resist a card to celebrate spring using the new release from Frantic Stamper Inc.

For this card I used the beautiful stamp set called Spring is Blooming.  It has several  spring blooms which I stamped to fit behind the circle, a bit like looking through a window into the garden.  The sentiment is from the same set.  I added accents in yellow, scalloped border and butterfly as yellow is such a spring colour.  This stamp set has the added bonus of a matching die set.  As a finishing touch I added some lovely Kennedy Grace sequins.

I hope spring is in the air and blooming where you are.

Grace's Happy Heart

I hope you managed to hop with Kennedy Grace Creations over the weekend.  Its such an exciting time for us with the launch of the first 2 stamp sets.  Both sets are just a joy to work with, really good quality clear stamps.  Grace's Happy Heart has three lovely flower stems and several wonderful sentiments.  You Inspire Me has three large words and lots of lovely smaller words to go with them to make some beautiful inspirational sentiments. The added bonus to this set are some pretty little miniature accessory stamps.

The card I would like to share today features Grace's Happy Heart and one of the March sequin mixes called Kindness Medley.  The flowers are coloured using Derwent Coloursoft Pencils.  I decided to keep the layout fairly simple so the flowers reman the main focus.  After all they are very pretty.  The sentiment "thinking of you today makes my heart happy" is going to become a real favourite.

Before I made my card I ran the image past my teen daughter and the instructions were "keep it simple mum and faded jeans"  I think I have that brief covered and it got the label "perfect".  See what you think....this is Jasmine - Music

Just Poppin over

Its a Frantic Stamper Inc post today.

I am bringing you a very cute card made using the recently released Large Marshmallow Bunny die.  Such a great die that can be used in many different ways.  I cut the bunnies and mixed and matched the ears and noses. Included in this die set is a little tail that I have used to make paws to sit over the edge of my wall.  I wonder what these 4 little bunnies would be "poppin" over to say??

The humidity over the past few days has been awful.   Its making my paper curl and all the sticky/foam tape really tacky and difficult to work with.  Crafting is a little challenging at the moment.

Caramel Apples

Today its a Kennedy Grace Creations post.

Firstly though I have a couple of new followers to welcome, thanks for joining me and I hope you pop back in often.  Its lovely to have you here.

I'm not really a green person so this card is a little out there for me.  But I  really wanted to showcase this delightful  Kennedy Grace shaker bits and things mix called Caramel Apples. A beautiful selection of sparkly sequins and seed beads in soft yellow, green tones, chocolate and sparkly clear.

I think my card has an unintentional retro kind of feel to it . I stamped several flowers into the circle and some single ones to scatter.  The circle features the "little" sparkly bits in the mix with the larger sequins on the outside.  I used the colours from the flowers to make an ombre effect on a piece of card stock to cut my sentiment from.  I have to add here that my computer always auto corrects card stock to read yardstick, can't quite figure that one out.  Anyway I added a little strip of green down one side just to anchor everything together.

Exciting things are happening at Kennedy Grace Creations and I am super thrilled to be a part of it.  All the details are below so mark your calendars.  We'd love for you to come and join us.  I can't wait to share the new release with you.  Its going to be great.

Peaches and Cream

Its a Kennedy Grace Creations  post today.

I was inspired by the beautiful sequin mix from the February release, called Peaches and Cream.
It's such a soft and pretty mix.  Sparkly sequins and seed beads in soft peach tones with vanilla and peach flowers.  Just gorgeous.

I stamped the flowers in kraft brown ink and coloured them in soft peachy pink colours before die cutting and placing them on a soft grey woodgrain paper and stamping the hello sentiment.  I tried all sorts of different shades of paper behind before settling on the Navy which added lift without detracting from the flowers.  Finishing touch is a selection of the sequins and seed beads from Peaches and Cream. The Kennedy Grace sequins are quite delightful, use the link above to see all the mixes available.
