February Kennedy Grace Creation Mood Board

Good morning, over on the Kennedy Grace Creations blog with you today.  I'm sharing my card inspired by the February Mood Board.  I took my inspiration from the colours.  I chose my papers to showcase pink, orange and green as a colour scheme.

I cut fish tail banners from my chosen papers and glued them in different lengths to my card stock.  I then cut an oval sentiment and placed my sentiment in behind.  The sentiment comes from the Kindness Medley Stamp set.  I  cut a duplicate from foam so the sentiment oval had some dimension and didn't sit flat.

The little orange butterfly, cut from felt, was sitting on my desk, unused from another project, so I popped that on with sequins from the Rainbow Sherbet Mix.  Last step was to put some green design paper behind.

Its a beautiful Mood board so I hope you'll get some inspiration from it.

Love and Laughter,
  Karen

Mom's Garden

There's a new release at Frantic Stamper called Mom's Garden available in store now.  There are lots of lovely dies with a floral theme. Both modern and vintage in style.   There's a beautiful background stamp and something new for Frantic Stamper, our first gorgeous stencil.

Included in the release are 3 sets of blossom dies. Each set has 3 sizes of flowers to enable stacking for dimensional blooms. As soon as I saw them I knew they would make beautiful felt flowers. They cut felt perfectly so I set to and cut lots of flowers in pretty spring colours using all 3 blossom sets.

Some of the flowers I used only one bloom and put a small felt ball in the middle, others are stacked with two sizes and yet others with 3 and 4 sizes. Some have felted ball centres and some buttons. They are put together using a glue gun which I find works well with felt. The leaves are cut using the new spring foliage set, which has 4 different dies.

In the middle of the wreath are the words Grow & Bloom which have been cut from card stock several times until they were stiff enough to hold florist wire to make little picks to attach to the vine wreath. I cut some petite Butterflies and glued these to the words as a little finishing touch.

A really fun project using great new products.

Here is a close up of the flowers showing the 3 sets and the stacking.

Frantic Stamper precision die products used.

Come back soon
