Nature time at Southern Girls.

Its time for a new challenge at Southern Girls and we'd love to see all your creations inspired by nature.

We have wonderful sponsors for this challenge and I was very lucky to use a stamp set from Krafters Cart a wonderful online shop right here in New Zealand supplying us kiwi crafters wonderful products from around the world.

I stamped the background of my card using leaves and stems and a few little blossoms.  On top of these I placed some stamped and coloured blooms  before popping up my little monster from the Monster Fun stamp set by Gerda Steiner Designs available from Krafters Cart.  The sentiments are from the same set.

This little die from Frantic Stamper called Damask Pattern is absolutely gorgeous.  How great to be a able to create your own Damask background.  I used a glitter paper to cut the pattern several times and glued it to card stock to create my background.  This is actually way prettier than the photo shows.  It would be so perfect for wedding invitations in any colour scheme.  Black and white would also be very dramatic.  I also used the Double Ended Tag die and Small thanks also from Frantic Stamper.

I Appreciate You!

Such a lovely sentiment that we probably don't use enough.  I have lots of people in my life I appreciate and yet forget to tell them.  I could duplicate this card many times.  The sentiment comes from the Floral stamp set which is part of the February Frantic Stamper release.  I have paired it up with the very pretty Beautiful Rose die from the same release.  The stitched frame is from the Elementals # 16 set, perfectly setting off the sentiment.

Happy Blooming Everything

The February release at Frantic Stamper brings you all things Feminine.  Gorgeous edgers, florals, tags and even a sewing machine.  So many pretty things!  On todays card I have used Bracket Edger & Inserts and Double Ended Tags Dies. Two very versatile dies.  The bracket edger is so pretty and comes with two other inserts to create a lovely edge for your projects.  The tag comes in three handy sizes.  The sentiments "Happy blooming everything"  (love that)  can be found on the Floral Stamp set also available in this release.  Such lovely dies need very little embellishing.

Love is in the air!!!

Its February and its fast approaching valentines day and love is in the air, well little odd dog is in the air actually.  I'm thrilled to be joining the Lili of the Valley Challenge for February.  I do love my LOTV images and they are now offering digital versions of many of their stamps, which is a great option.
