Lollipop Trees

I had a bit of fun making this card.  It went completely off track as my cards often do.  I'm featuring one of the new dies from the Crisp Fall Day, Frantic Stamper release available for pre sale now. It's called Lollipop Trees.

I used the Scene Builder die set to cut my foreground then stamped and coloured little flowers. I die cut the trees in gingham and placed them amongst the hills.  This is where I added a little bit of whimsy with the bows and the little monster.  He does look like he's running down the hill to hud someone hence my choice of sentiment.  Finishing touch a few clear sequins.

Spooky House

I'm sharing another card today made for the Frantic Stamper Spooky Halloween release.  I had in my mind the idea of a moonlit haunted house rather than a silhouette.  So I used orange as my background and coloured the Haunted house with the intention of it basking in the moonlight.  The trees, fence and moon are all part of the Spooky Accessory die set.  I also used the Stitched background edger die to create my hillside.    Just on a side note, although I didn't end up using it on my project, you can successfully cut the top part off this house to make a single level cottage. Cool huh!!

Although we don't celebrate Halloween here I did have fun with these dies.

Come back soon.

Hello

I wish you could type using an accent, because if you could that "hello" would be in a decidedly vampirish voice.  The recent release from Frantic Stamper is Halloween and whilst we don't really celebrate down here and its just a little early, this fellow suits the "hello" word perfectly.  And  vampires don't just have to be for Halloween either.  I die cut this several times and cut and layered to add all the dimension.  He also has shiny shoes and a slicked back hair do using glossy accents.

This and more from the Halloween release are available for pre order in store now.

Lots of Lollipops

Welcome back today for my final card as July Guest Designer for Craftin Desert Divas featuring the  Sweet Season Stamp set.  A big thank you to Tara and the team for having me along this month.

This stamp set was so easy to create with.  I really have had so much fun with it. The combinations and possibilities are endless. Today's card uses the lollipop stamp which I used all over my card and coloured the bows in a rainbow of colours.   I then added some red and white striped paper along the bottom after cutting the edge with one of the Stitched Scallop Dies.  I really do love border dies.

Heres a quick review of the previous cards in case you missed them,
and there are still a couple of stamps left in the set I didn't use!!

Scary thing is Christmas is only five and a bit months away.....yikes.

Thanks again to Tara I've really enjoyed guesting for
Craftin Desert Divas.

Come back soon

Sweet little gingerbread

Hi I'm back again with another card using one of the new Craftin Desert Divas release stamp sets called Sweet Season.  So many cute little christmas stamps in various sizes.  Everything from a gingerbread house to lollipops.

For todays card I used the baking tray and little gingerbread characters which you can accessorise with little dresses or santa hats or bows.  Super cute don't you think!!  I popped the tray and gingerbread up on foam just to add some dimension.   I have one last card to share tomorrow, the possibilities are endless with this stamp set.

So see you back here tomorrow.

Candy Cane Wishes

As Part of my Guest spot With Craftin Desert Divas I had this lovely Stamp set called Sweet Season to play with.  I showcased a couple of cards during the blog hop a few days back but I have a few more to show you.  It was such an easy set to create with .

Today I'd like to share a card made with one of the larger gingerbread characters.  Theres this one holding a candy cane and another with a mint candy. The sentiment is also from the set and perfect with this little gingerbread character.

Pop back tomorrow for another card using the same set.

See you then

Just because

What better reason is there to make and send a card than "just because".  I'm sure we all like to get a card out of the blue for no particular reason at all.

I used Kennedy Grace Creations, Graces Little Notes stamp set with a bit of masking to make this card.  The "just because" diet is from Frantic Stamper Inc.  I cut it several times and aded a little bit of highlighting to the letters.  I chose to back it with an edge of green to add a little lift.

I have been unhappy with the card I use for colouring for a little while and after much searching and reading with Mr Google I discovered Bristol board/card was a common card recommended for coloured pencil.  I have tried finding it here for s while and have tracked down a store I can get it from.  I finally splashed out and bought a 9x12 pad of 15 sheets and oh boy do I love it.  I am really surprised at the difference a good quality card makes.  So its not quite as white as I like but I really don't care as its such a joy to work on. Its a bit like chalk and cheese to what I was using and I had no idea.

Hope you pop back again soon

Friends are like Lighthouses

I made this card with a friend across the sea in mind who has just celebrated a birthday.  She has a lighthouse near where she lives and the most wonderful light coming from her heart.

This new die from Frantic Stamper just reminded me so much of her when I saw it.  I used traditional lighthouse colours of red and white and paired it with this very appropriate sentiment.  I added a little bit of colour to represent the land and the sky otherwise kept it pretty clean and simple.

I hope my friend likes it.
