Greg is a little bit shy!

Introducing Greg!!!  In this image Greg is a little bit shy, or so he's pretending to be.  Greg will feature in 4 of the new stamps as part of the Novem-bear release at Lili of the Valley.  52 stamps to be exact in this release, all bear themed.  Set your alarm clock for Friday 24th November UK time because if bears had wings I'm sure these will literally fly out of the store.

There are the Alphabet bears that I have been sharing as well as a set of number bears.  Some sentiments that go with these awesome sets and 16 other bear stamps of which Greg will feature in four.  There is a panda a polar bear and even a  koala.  A bear for every occasion.

Today I am sharing Shy Greg and his little bunny friend.  This has to be one of my favourites in the release.  I extended the door and walls up and out with black marker to create my background and take up the whole card.  The wallpaper is created by first colouring the background and then hand drawing the little flower pattern.  The wooden floor was easily achieved with a series of lines to form the floor boards.

The entire image is coloured in pencil and took me several hours to colour and get the shading right to get the dimension I was looking for.  I'm really happy with the end result and can confidently say that practice is paying off.  I could never have achieved this at the beginning of the year when I set the goal to improve my colouring with pencil as I couldn't justify the cost of copics.

Anyway here is Greg.

You will so love this release.
Remembear Friday 24th UK time!!

Bye for now

C is for Congratulations

C is for Congratulations, cute, cuddly and coming soon.  Today I'm sharing another of the Alphabet Bears coming to Lili of the Valley end of next week.  These will be available in rubber, digital and pre coloured simply print.  If you love bears then trust me when I say you will not want to miss this release as there are others as well as the Alphabet Bears.  I'll share a sneak of a stamp called shy tomorrow.

This is little C bear and as well as the alphabets there will be sentiments to go with them.  This is congratulations without the C so you'll get "ongratulations".  I placed my ongratulations behind the C with a little masking so the teddy looked like he was trying to get it into the right place.  Such a clever little bear!

I used a scalloped edge die to compliment the curve of the c.  Used a thin edge of dark brown before placing it on top of  a good old favourite, red gingham.

These little bears are so greta the possibilities really are endless.  Not long to wait now!!!

See you back tomorrow for another peep at a different Bear.

You are my Amazing

Hi everyone I'm up on the Kennedy Grace Creations Blog today sharing a card with the sentiment "you are my amazing", featuring the Beautiful Blooms Sweet Rose stamp set.

This is one of my favourite KGC stamp sets.  You can make the rose as complicated or simple as you choose.  There is enough detail to even just stamp it uncoloured.  Today I coloured the actual bloom in pencil and took a fine black Copic liner and outlined the leaves and buds.  I shaded the leaves behind the main bloom in soft grey to lift the flower and left the rest uncoloured.  I actually really like this look and bonus is I really don't colour leaves that well.  Still practicing on those.  I wanted the sentiment to blend so chose a fine lined "You are My" stamped in black and die cut the amazing in a soft pink.  Its there but not overpowering the flower.

My final touch was a thin black and white stripe and a strip of pink matching the sentiment.  Usually my final touch would be sequins but not today.

Love and Laughter,
Karen

I love you valentines bears xo

And I hope you will love these little valentines bears too.

Carrying on from yesterday I'm sharing another card using the cute, alphabet bears due to be released by Lili of the Valley very soon.  If you missed my post from yesterday I shared a card using them to create a name.  Today I have used them to form a sentiment.  Whilst I had Valentines in mind this could be used any time of the year to remind someone special that you cherish them.  My bears are coloured in pencil and this time in greys.  Valentines so I went for pink letters.  Honestly they are the cutest little characters.  They will be such a useful collection to add to any stash.

These bears are around 1.5 inches in height and width, obviously some letters may be slightly thinner, but roughly thats the size.  They will be available as rubber stamps and digital stamps as well as pre coloured simply print images, perfect if you don't want to or  don't have time to colour.  Rumour has it the release date is the 24th November so you may want to mark your calendar.

I was right huh?  They are very cute.
Pop back tomorrow for another card using a single letter.

See you soon

Calling all Bear Lovers!!

Yes thats right calling all Bear lovers for an overdose of bears and cuteness over the next few days.  Lili of the Valley are releasing a whole alphabet of bears very soon.  From A to Z theres a bear for everyone and every occasion.  You can create words, names and sentiments for anything you can think of.  These are so much fun and so useful.

I have 3 cards to share over the next few days all featuring the Alphabet bears and all for different occasions.  Trust me when I say you are going to love them!

First up is a card featuring a name.  Maya is my daughters bestie and she has just had a birthday which I actually missed with this card, but she is about to leave to visit her grandfather in Japan so this card can will still be used to contain a lovely friendship message.

I wanted my bears close together and achieved this with some simple masking.  These little cuties are coloured using pencil.  My card design uses the bears as the feature with some matching design paper and a little bow as a finishing touch.

They're very cute, right?
Be sure to pop back and visit tomorrow
as I have another card to share, this time with valentines in mind.

See you then
