In the spotlight....

First off a warm welcome to Kathi who started following me this week.

I was thrilled to receive a spotlight award of 2nd place in the challenge at Magiczna Kartka for my little notebook a couple of posts ago.  There are some amazing projects entered in their challenges so I have to say I was really thrilled.

Funny little story before I post my card for today.....At school the kids do daily fitness.  At the moment they are running the cross country course but as the weather has been dreadful this week they have moved to the auditorium and have been doing jump-jam.  One of the songs they use is "Who let the dogs out" (you know the one...right?).  Well one of the kids I work with came running into class today, actually he burst into class, and proceeded to tell me he didn't want to work today as he had a very important question he needed to ask. Just so you know this little 7 year old fellow is not one out of the box. I could see he was about to "pop" so I said ok whats your question (imagining all number of things he could be about to ask).  Anyway not able to contain himself he just blurted out..."Mrs Oliver I really need to know who DID let the dogs out..." Well I tried really hard to contain myself but I just had to laugh out loud. He looked at me and realised it was pretty funny  and the two of us just laughed and laughed. It was pretty priceless.  How kids minds work hey???

Anway, sory told, here is my creation for the Current Challenge at Magiczna Kartka Colourful Birds.  I love the soft colours of the papers and I love birds too.
