Hi everyone and welcome to my new follower Munch, thanks for joining me.
Well its a very wet sunday here today. Rumour has it that winter will hit this week. Apparently there is a big cold snap due to arrive. It maybe wet today but it is still quite warm.
Soccer (football) season is back and you will find me on the sidelines of a game Saturday mornings from now through till about September. I think yesterday was game 5. So far 5 wins although the team are still not playing to their full potential, it always seems to take several games to settle in. Its interesting this season to watch Nick starting to take notice of gaps in the field and suggesting (yelling and pointing) to his team mates to fill them and mark players.
Anyway on to craft, first off there is a new challenge at Southern Girls, get out your rhinestones and pearls and enter the Sparkle and Shine with a bit of bling challenge.
I don't seem to have been in my little area much of late but this is a notebook, probably acttually more of a journal book really as its bigger than what I would think of as a notebook, that I made. I picked it up at a $2 store just because of the pink spotty cover which I decided to keep as art of the design. I used some srcap paper and quilted the background, I think they are a combination of Kaisercraft Tea time and American Craft, I then added some distressing and lots of embellishments. I left the green diecut blank ready for an initial to be added.
This is being entered into the following challenges Totally Gorgeous buttons and/or bows Sunflowerfield Vintage/shabby/rustic The Shabby Tea Room Flowers and Balloons and 613 Avenue Create Always Anything Goes with additional shapes.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for your lovely comments, I always love to read them.

Such beautiful notebook. Love the background paper made with squares, and all the buttons, little flowers and hearts that you used as embellishments. Thank you for joining us at 613 Avenue Create this week.
Cheers,
Aurora
Karen, this is so pretty in a shabby chic way. Whoever gets there initial onto that green square is going to love receiving it.
Very pretty!!!!
Hello Karen, I have taken the address of your blog from my friendship page you sent me which is beautiful, I will treasure it forever. I just love your note/journal book which you have altered it is so pretty. The quilting looks so lovely especially with the pretty lace running over it. The little tag top which I see poking out towards the top of the page gives some interest and the beautiful rose and rose but which you have used go perfectly.
