Easter is coming to my Little House

Its a very dull overcast saturday morning.  The air is a bit cooler and the heat seems to be dissappearing from the watery sun that is out today.  I have apple cinnamon muffins cooking in the oven one teenager still in bed and the other has been up and out since 7am representing the school in mountain biking.
Last night they went to a paint party at the local ice skating rink and had a fantastic time came home covered in uv paint Nick from head to toe and Abbey more a subtle work of art....ahhh the difference between boys and girls.  Actually wait a mo and I will go take a photo of nicks t-shirt to give you an idea........

There you are now imagine the rest of him matching the t-shirt and you have a picture of what he looked like.

Anyway the last couple of weeks I have been working on this little house with the idea that I will embellish it to suit the season and the celebration.  What inspired me was a little display that someone had put together for halloween and since then I thought I would like to have something that I could have out on display to change for Easter, birthdays, Halloween, Christmas etc. When I found this house I knew I had what I wanted. I covered it in paper and inked it adding glitter and put it together. I wanted the base of it to remain fairly neutral so as I changed the embellishments it would still work.

For Easter I added some lovely flowers Prima and Melissa Frances (oh the house is Melissa Frances too) popped an Easter Basket on the front step with little easter egg cutouts on the path, banners on the fence and a little bunny running away after making his delivery.  I have a little battery operated tea light candle inside that can be turned on at night.

There you have it "Happy Easter" version of my little house.

The Shabby Tea Room is Anything Goes this week so thought I might pop this into their challenge and goodness me there are a lot of entries this week.  Glad I am not judging.

So soft and pretty and I'm not talking about Nick's shirt. The house is a wonderful idea.
