Quilt of hearts

February is of course the month of romance.  No matter where you go on the net at the moment it is pink, red, hearts or anything that represents "love".
For this card I recreated the background using scraps. Most are from the Kaisercraft Tea Time range.  I cut them into squares and then glued them together to form a quilt.  I added hand drawn stitching but could have left it as it was but I wanted to accentuate the "quilt" affect.  I then added some punched hearts and a diecut heart that i edged in lace.  Added some ink and flowers and of course some bling and glitter.

This week the challenge at The Card Concept is Monochromatic Pink. They ask that you comment on your style which I find  little hard to do, but yet again I think it kind of fits it the Shabby/Elegant category.
Over at The Shabby Tea Room the challenge is pink/red/burgundy flowers,  hearts and glitter.

Completely off track I love the song called Happy from the movie Despicable Me which is sung by Pharrell Williams.  It just happens to be on the music channel at the moment.  Its such a great tune a real toe tapper.  It always makes me feel ....well......happy. :-)

I would have bet you "quilted" with ribbons; so dimensional looking. Very pretty.

Wow! That is a show stopper! The quilt effect looks amazing (I agree with Bridge - it seems to have dimension) and of course the hearts cascading down have their own dimension of lovely-ness. Wow, again! Stay happy!

Fabulously Shabby/Elegant with a beautiful display of monochromatic shades of pink! The detail on your card is amazing! The 'hand stitched' quilt squares look awesome. Beautiful lace edge heart - the flowers look lovely nestled within the heart too! Thanks for sharing your stunning creation with us this week at the Card Concept Challenge :)
