Freckles!!!

Lili of the Valley have a new launch coming.  Some of the older stamps and some of the stamps that were previously only available in digital are going to be released as rubber stamps.  These include Freckles and some of her friends.  There will be lots of new stamps sets, art sheets, and papers.  If you're a LOTV fan you won't be disappointed.  Its great to see some of these images back as stamps.

Freckles is coloured in pencil.  I hand drew a background for her.  Its simple but I like a subtle background behind the focal image.  Seems to be a new thing I'm doing!!!  The grey background paper is one of the LOTV Christmas papers.  Its great that some of the prints are versatile enough to use for non Christmas projects, makes them great value.

Number four!!!

Well here it is  ....  number four.  The forth card in the little series of Stacey Yacula images from Purple Onion Designs.  I can't be sure but this may be my favourite.  That little sleeping mouse is just the cutest wee thing.  Her name is Eve... shhhhh don't wake her.  The little bird friends are May with Star and Sky.  I just love the names Stacey gives her little critters.

The layout is a little different than the other three as in I made a frame to pop the background in using
Blossoming Perch stamped to look like a tree and Tulips along the foreground.  I then placed little sleeping Eve right in front with her wee head slightly raised on foam.

I do adore these stamps and Stacey has just released a new set.  I'm in trouble I may need to add to my collection.

This little set was so much fun to create I may just have to make more.

Purple Onion number three.

By Purples Onion of course I mean Purple Onion Designs who stock the amazing Stacey Yacula stamps.  As mentioned earlier I coloured some previously unlinked little sweethearts.  I'd like you to meet Wags and Puddles and their little friend Tucker the Snail.  

Again I used an uncoloured image  Garden Bushes with an inked sky in the background.  This time I used green gingham paper.  Looking at it on the screen I should have put some grass in the foreground.  Oh well never mind!! 

I think I'm a little obsessed with these now I have actually started using them after so long.  I may just stamp up a whole lot to have ready to colour and fussy cut whenever I have the chance or need a little break.

I have one more card to share in a few days.  It may or may not be my favourite of the four.  I can't decide!!!

Let it Snow!!!

My last Frantic Stamper post was a less than Traditional, yet Kiwi themed Christmas card.  Today's card is the opposite and all about snow.

I used the Plump Snowman Kit to create my snowman embracing the snow.  The kit contains lots of little elements from a variety of hats to an apron and handbag.  Its a little bit like a dress up snowman.
The background is created using The Snowfall Stencil and silver Embellishment mousse.  It adds such a pretty background.  I then cut a hillside in white shimmery card to put behind the snowman.  The Let it Snow sentiment is perfect with the background and the snowman, Its cut 2 times and glued in a stack.

Sing little Rabbit Sing!!!

Wouldn't you love it if this little fellow turned up singing carols on your doorstep?  I know I would.  He could bring his cute little friends too.  This is another image form the Carol Singer Stamp Set released for Christmas. They really are the sweetest little images.

Todays card features the rabbit from the set.  I coloured her in pencil and then fussy cut the image so I could place it into a little scene.  I used some of the new LOTV paper sets to create the snowy background.  The grey dot was placed in the background with some white card stock cut to form the snow drifts behind and in front of the rabbit.  From another piece of  LOTV paper I fussy cut some trees to place on the back of the snow drifts.

I stamped and cut the sentiments, placed the card on a piece of white, then dark red card stock before adding some sparkle to the snow with glitter.

LOTV Carol Singers

Things have been changing at LOTV.  I know I posted a little while back about digital stamps no longer being available.  Its all to do with complex EU VAT rules.  SO ...  good news for rubber stamp lovers.  Rubber stamps are making a comeback.  AND ... paper sets are too.  if you want a bit more information and would like to take a look at the rubber stamp sets available click HERE.

Today I am sharing a card using a set from the new Christmas range called Carol Singer   I have used two of the five little singers on this card.  They are coloured in pencil in front of a stencilled brick wall background.  I used Frantic Stamper brink wall stencil to do this. A white gel pen was used to create the falling snow all over the image.  The paper in the background is from the new LOTV Frozen Snowflakes paper set.  It is finished off with a die cut falalalala which is perfect for that wee mouse singing his heart out.

Bella and Pecan

Well here is card two using those neglected Stacey Yacula stamps, although to be fair these are from the recent release.  These stamps just deserve to be used, they are so sweet.  Introducing Bella and Pecan.  Bella is the rabbit and Pecan is the squirrel.  Even the names Stacey gives her little creations are so sweet.  I used the same idea on all four of the cards I made.  (See previous post for card one and the other two will follow on later posts).

In the background I stamped Bunting flags and blooms with an inked sky.  This is a very easy background but I just love this look.  I can't remember when I first saw this technique but it was Debra James from one card at a time where I saw it.  Debra did a series of cards using the torso and legs of the Prima Dolls coloured against city landscapes stamped in black.  Debra is crazy talented but these cards in particular just always stuck in my mind.

The card panel is popped up with foam and placed on gingham, which I said in my previous post is perfect against these images.
