Grateful

Its time for my Kennedy Grace post and today I have made a cheerful little card using the "You Inspire Me" stamp set.  I used some of the little floral stamps around the Grateful sentiment.  I stamped and fussy cut some extra little flowers and popped them up of foam before adding the "for our friendship" sentiment on top.  A couple of strips of coloured paper to match the stamping to finish it off.

A simple pretty clean and layered card using my new Stamp Perfect from Hampton Crafts.  I have coveted a Misti from the first time I saw Kathy from the Daily Marker use one a long time ago.  I profess to being a real dummy when it comes to stamping I have to stamp the image several times before I get it right and sentiments...suffice to say I have screwed up many cards because of stamping a sentiment.  But the mini Misti retails here for around $100.00,  thats a lot right.

When a local store called Krafters Cart advertised the new Stamp Perfect for half the price and free shipping I just couldn't resist.  I will claim its the best $50.00 of craft tools I have ever spent.  I love it and would never have been able to pull off a card like this without it.

Buttons & Brads challenge at Southern Girls

Its time for a new challenge at Southern Girls.

We are trying something a little different in 2017, every so often we will be having a RETRO challenge. These challenges are designed to have you dig into your stash and get rid of some of those older supplies that might be hanging around unloved.

Have a Purrfect day!!

I'd like to share another card from the Frantic Stamper Pet Love release.  This die set is called Kitty Accessories and has little dies that cut all the things kitties use from a carrier to a collar.  Pretty cute huh!  I used them all in this card to create a little collection which any cat lover would appreciate getting and there are plenty of us who love our kitties.

Gentle Hugs

Its a Kennedy Grace post today and I'm a couple of days late due to it being summer holidays and being away at the beach.  I thought I had scheduled this post but alas I didn't publish it....oooppps!

Anyway my card uses the lovely stamp set called Splendid Roses matched with Peaches and Cream Sequin Mix.  I went for a very soft and subtle palette to create a gentle hugs card. I used a white gel pen for a little bit of outlining to give the petals a little more definition as I stamped them in a very pale pink ink.  I think this is a nice alternative to your usual sympathy card,  sometimes all you need is a gentle hug.

Pet Love from Frantic Stamper

The January Pet Love release from Frantic Stamper sure has some very cute little dies including this set called Oscar Spot & Trixie.  A little trio of puppy friends.  I die cut them in different colours of card stock cutting again in black for the eyes, nose and spots.  To give some dimension I used pencils to add darker highlights and a little depth.  Finishing with white gel pen.  They really are pretty cute.

This card also uses Chevron Edger #1, which not only cuts a stitched ended but a scalloped edge and Cat Sentiments Stamp Set.

Thanks for being my friend.

Its time for my first Kennedy Grace Creations post for 2017.

Today purple is my colour of choice.  I used the gorgeous Beautiful Blooms - Sweet Rose stamp set to create my card.  Its such a pretty stamp.  I stamped it in purple ink to soften the outline and to blend with my colouring.   Its coloured using Derwent Coloursoft pencils.  The sentiment comes from the same stamp set.  Finished off with some pretty Lilac Garden sequins.

Happy New Year

Its here its 2017 and I hope its a year overflowing with happiness for everyone.

I'm starting the year introducing the January release from Frantic Stamper Inc called Pet Love.  Lots of puppies and kitties with some gorgeous edgers and elemental sets.  Available in store now.

This card uses Art Deco Felix and Friend die. Chevron Edger #2 die and Cat Sentiments stamp set.  I used black card to cut the cats to create a silhouette effect.  Great die for valentines or anniversary cards especially with that purrfect sentiment.  The Chevron Edger adds some lovely detail.
