Beautiful Day

Today I am sharing a Pink Sunflower.  This image is from Kennedy Grace Creations Beautiful Blooms - Sunflower stamp set.  It's such a lovely stamp to colour and as we are still celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness month, it is  aptly pink.  Coloured in Derwent Coloursoft pencil with the addition of sequins from the Primrose mix.

Thanks for popping over today.

Love

Love yourself and make sure your breast checks are up to date.  Book your mammogram if its overdue and talk about it with your friends.  Make sure they are all up to date also.

That's what inspired this card using the Kennedy Grace Creations Splendid Rose stamp set.  I wanted it to look like a drawing or sketch.  Something a little different than usual.  My design is kept simple allowing the image to work as a focal point.  I added some Mother of pearl sequins to finish it off.

It is Breast Cancer Awareness month so go ahead and give yourself some Love.  Today and not tomorrow!!!

And don't forget Michelle has some special offers in store with donations going to support Breat Cancer Research.

Believe in your strength

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I am sure this is something that has, in one way or another, affected all of us.  I watched a good friend loose a courageous battle with breast cancer.  It was one of the worst things I have ever had to bear witness to.

Kennedy Grace Creations are supporting Breast Cancer by posting all pink projects for the month of October.  For todays card I used the stamp sets You Inspire Me and Sing a New Song.  I thought those little flowers were very appropriate.  I cut the sentiment using the Scalloped Rectangles Cutting Edge Creations and added some Pink Champagne sequins.  A simple yet poingnant card.

Another way you can support Breast Cancer is with a bundle purchase from the Kennedy Grace Shop.   15% of all proceeds going to the Susan G Koman Foundation.  Details below.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Pretty In Pastels

Its time for a new challenge at Southern Girls Challenge Blog.  The theme is Pretty in Pastels.  All those soft hues of pinks, blues, greens, yellows, purples and peaches.  Our sponsor is Art by Miran and the image I coloured is called Danica.  She's just so pretty and really suited pastel colours.

Pop to the blog for more inspiration and all the details.  Then bring out your soft side and create something pretty for the challenge.

Thanks for calling in today.

Purple Bloom Just Because

I have a Kennedy Grace Post to share today featuring the Kennedy Grace, Beautiful Blooms Sweet Rose stamp set.

I decided on purple for no reason other than I haven't used purple in a while.  I stamped coloured and fussy cut the central bloom, placing it on foam with several die cut circles with leaves behind.  I then used the Kennedy Grace Cutting Edge Creations Scalloped Rectangle die to cut the bottom of the card, which is a great way to stretch your dies.  I then backed it with some design paper to match  and to accentuate the scallop.  The Just Because is also from this stamp set.  Finishing touch is some beautiful moonbeams sequins.

See you again soon

Scrappy notes

Hi there.  Today I have some little note cards to share.

I don't know about you but I actually don't like scraps and find it hard to keep little bits. I think its the Virgo coming out in me and scraps are just not tidy.  That said as I was cleaning my little box where I pop bits and pieces, unfinished cards and things I haven't used because I either A. Change my mind B. Don't like it at the time or C.  Have no idea where I was going with it or D. Stuffed up the stamping.  Whilst doing this I discovered some Kennedy Grace flowers stamped and not coloured and some little pieces of gingham paper along with a couple of die cuts that were cut to test out the Scalloped Rectangle die.

I lay these out on my desk and made some little note cards to write a message on rather than using a sticky note.  The Scalloped Rectangles I folded in half to form a lovely edge for the card base. The gingham I cut to fit just inside the stitching line and coloured up the images and cut them to size.  Finishing up with adding a few little sequins.

So not only did I use up some scraps but I made something useful.  I have told myself that I should make more of these.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Hope to see you back soon.
