Shaking heart

Its time for a Kennedy Grace post and today I am sharing a card using the newly released Seaside Breeze and Jack Frost sequin mixes.  I haven't made a shaker in a bit as to be honest I find the foam layer never goes how I want it too so I thought I would try these plastic pouches and let me tell you they are just so easy I love them.

For my card I cut out the heart shape and placed a complimentary paper in behind and filled the shaker with a mix of Seaside Breeze and Jack Frost sequins.  The sentiment comes from the new stamp set called Friendship Blessings.  I then used some orange card stock to add some accents and bring it all together.

Introducing Thoroughly Modern Miss

Coming to Lili of the Valley is a new series called Thoroughly Modern Miss.  There's a Miss for all the months of the year.  How cool is that.  They all be available as Digi Stamps and pre coloured simply print sheets.

Today its my pleasure to introduce Miss August. Coloured in pencil and what a delight she was to colour.  I kept my design very simple.  She's printed straight onto the card I paired her with a new  Digi Sentiment turning it and enlarging it to fit alongside Miss August.   I then added a small strip of black and white and another strip to match her t shirt.

These are being launched Monday 23rd October so pop over to LOTV to see all 12 Misses.  Oh actually I'll have Miss September to show you tomorrow.

See you soon

Christmas...not gingerbread...House

Got you right?  Christmas houses don't  have to be gingerbread, especially with this great die from Frantic Stamper Inc.  It comes with loads of accessories from the little lights to a tiny star for the tree.  Lots of options to personalise your little house.  There are even hinges for the door.

The sentiment is from the Clear stamp set called Merry Christmas, also new this release.  This one was perfect for this card.

I had lots of fun putting this together and I'm sure you will too.

Little lantern

From the Frantic Stamper Inc Winter release comes this lovely hanging lantern.  It comes in 2 parts which allows you to hang the lantern wherever you like.

I decided to place the scroll upside down above the stamped Christmas sentiment and then hang the lantern from the "s".  Well I say its upside down but this just shows the flexibility of the dies because i could argue its supposed to be this way up....

I stamped wishes below the lamp and edged the card in a small strip of yellow matching the flame and then red and white stripe for a pop of Christmas colour.

Mood Board at Kennedy Grace

We have this gorgeous mood board to inspire you at Kennedy Grace Creations. Theres so much to work with here.  Being a lover of orange I chose the colour palette for my card using the new stamp set called Friendship Blessings and Jack Frost Sequins.

I was a little uncertain whether to fussy cut the flowers or leave them as a print.  In the end I decided to use Kennedy Grace Scalloped Stitched Rectangles and back it on a piece of brown woodgrain paper.  I then chose a plaid that matched the colour scheme for the background.  My sentiment was added using a piece of twine tied in a small bow.

I hope you'll take some inspiration from the board and share your creations either on the Kennedy Grace Creations Facebook Fan page or #kennedygracecreations on Instagram.
We'd love to see what you create.

See you again soon

Peeking Penguins

Who doesn't love penguins?  Especially little peeking ones.  This is one of the dies in the October Winter release from Frantic Stamper Inc.

I left the 3 dies joined together so I could cut them in rows.  I used all three in the top row,  then  moved the die down and cut the first two again.  The last row I just cut one little penguin. I cut them on a white card panel to start. Then recut them in black and cut out the wings and glued them on followed by red for the hats and yellow for the beaks.  Finally a little black dot to enhance the eyes.

The Christmas sentiment stamp is also new this release and contains lots of mix and match options.  You can't really see from the photo but I went over the black with a clear Spica pen to add some sparkle.  The panel is then placed on top of the blue dot design paper to complete the card.

Such a fun little Christmas card.

New Challenge at Southern Girls

Stripes we want to see stripes this challenge over at Southern Girls.  We have 2 lovely sponsors and my card uses an image from Sasayaki Glitter called Dragoon.

I had a lovely time colouring this image in pencil.  I had just finished colouring the dragon and picked up a pencil thinking in was my duster and swiped 2 lovely dark lines through it.   Grrrrr silly silly me.  At this stage I hadn't decided what to do with the image but I took the challenge of creating a background to cover my pencil lines as they wouldn't completely rub out.  Actually I'm very happy with the result and I have my Kit and Clowder classes to thank for feeling able to do this.

Now pull out those stripes and come on over and join us.
