Purple Bloom Just Because

I have a Kennedy Grace Post to share today featuring the Kennedy Grace, Beautiful Blooms Sweet Rose stamp set.

I decided on purple for no reason other than I haven't used purple in a while.  I stamped coloured and fussy cut the central bloom, placing it on foam with several die cut circles with leaves behind.  I then used the Kennedy Grace Cutting Edge Creations Scalloped Rectangle die to cut the bottom of the card, which is a great way to stretch your dies.  I then backed it with some design paper to match  and to accentuate the scallop.  The Just Because is also from this stamp set.  Finishing touch is some beautiful moonbeams sequins.

See you again soon

Scrappy notes

Hi there.  Today I have some little note cards to share.

I don't know about you but I actually don't like scraps and find it hard to keep little bits. I think its the Virgo coming out in me and scraps are just not tidy.  That said as I was cleaning my little box where I pop bits and pieces, unfinished cards and things I haven't used because I either A. Change my mind B. Don't like it at the time or C.  Have no idea where I was going with it or D. Stuffed up the stamping.  Whilst doing this I discovered some Kennedy Grace flowers stamped and not coloured and some little pieces of gingham paper along with a couple of die cuts that were cut to test out the Scalloped Rectangle die.

I lay these out on my desk and made some little note cards to write a message on rather than using a sticky note.  The Scalloped Rectangles I folded in half to form a lovely edge for the card base. The gingham I cut to fit just inside the stitching line and coloured up the images and cut them to size.  Finishing up with adding a few little sequins.

So not only did I use up some scraps but I made something useful.  I have told myself that I should make more of these.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Hope to see you back soon.

Blue Hydrangeas

Today I am sharing a card made with the stamp set,  Blooms- Hydrangea from Kennedy Grace Creations. I stamped a couple of extra blooms (just inked that part of the stamp) before stamping the whole image.  I used Derwent Coloursoft pencils to colour and added a little glossy accents to the centre of each flower.   I fussy cut the single flowers and popped them up on a little foam .  The main image is cut using the newly released Scalloped Stitched Rectangles die set, which I totally love.  Final little touch was some Moonbeams sequins, which I also totally adore.

Finished this reminds me of my Mother-in-law who had the most beautiful collection of blue and white china.

Happy Wishes

I have a card to share today for Challenge #22 at Inspired by all the Little Things.

For my card I used Frantic Stamper Sunflower die cut on white card and coloured in Derwent Coloursoft Pencil.  I used this pretty plaid paper to represent the hills the sunflowers are growing in and finished it off with some Kennedy Grace Creations sequins.

Joy

Sharing other card featuring dies and stamps available for pre order now at Frantic Stamper.  I went for a non traditional, but favourite christmas colour combination, turquoise and white.

I used three products from the Christmas release.  Ornate Joy die with the new Lovely Loop Edger, which I just know will become a firm favourite and Clear Stamp set Finial Ornaments.  This would be an easy card to reproduce in quantity as I stamped the background in rows before cutting the card to size and adding the Looped edge and Joy die cut with a small scrap of matching gingham paper to the bottom.

Christmas at Frantic Stamper

Its release time (well pre release) at Frantic Stamper Inc and its time for Christmas dies.  So many gorgeous dies are available for pre sale now including this little cute Reaching Santa. I thought he looked like he was waving from across the North Pole so matched him with the Hello die.  Isn't he bright and cheerful.  The little holly leaves are from the Wreath and Swag component die set which id full of lovely stems, berries, birds and bows.
