Lovely Lace

Todays post is a Frantic Stamper Inc post.

I love this die called Lacey Edger.  It was released on March 1st and is so elegant and pretty.  You can use this die to make a very quick and easy card.  It really can stand alone with very little else.  For my card I simply used white card and cut the lacey edge along the bottom and backed it in pink paper.  I stamped the sentiment which could be anything you like and added a strip of paper with a paper bow.  A couple of little sequins and its finished.  So easy yet so effective.  A must have die to add to any collection.

Kennedy Grace Hydrangea

Its going to be my pleasure to introduce over the next week or so the new products that were released during the Grand Opening of Kennedy Grace Creations.  Beautiful stamp sets and sequin mixes you are sure to love.

Today I'd like to share Beautiful Blooms - Hydrangea.  Its so pretty and really lovely to colour.    I stamped the blooms and sentiment in brown, although the sentiment could have been a little darker.  I wanted a watercolour look which I achieved using my pencils and a white gel pen to add accents to the centre of the flowers.   I coloured two of the blooms then placed one on top of the other after cutting it to fit the card.  The sequins are called springtime,  a pretty, soft, springtime mix.

Make sure you hop on over to the Kennedy Grace blog to see some gorgeous cards the rest of the team made using this stamp set.   I promise you its worth a look.

Thanks for your visit today.

(kich-uhn) - noun

I just love these little pots and pans.  They are part of the Frantic Stamper Inc Mom's Kitchen release.
How fun are these??? I couldn't decide on a sentiment for this card so I googled the dictionary meaning for Kitchen and found this great definition that I had to use as my sentiment. It just seemed perfect.

For my pots and pans I die cut them twice, once in plain card stock and once in the design paper.  Using sharp pointed scissors I removed the inside part of the pots and pans from the design paper and glued this onto the card stock pieces.  Its a bit more work but I think the effect is worth it and adds dimension to the die cuts.  The lids of the pots are a separate little die so I placed these in front. The pots, pans and sentiment are all popped up on foam.

To finish my card I added a piece of the paper I used to make the pots and pans along the top, with a strip of lace and a button tied with twine. Such a fun die set to use.

The card I made especially for the hop uses the very lovely Vintage Tea Set.
If I had to pick a favourite, which I assure you is not easy, it would be this set.

I went with a shabby/vintage look for my card in shades of lavender.
The background of my circle uses one of the small roses stamps in this set.  After colouring the roses I added a piece of vellum over the top to soften it and popped a teacup in front.

Happy heart

Its time for a Kennedy Grace Creations Post.  I seem to have a maroon and brown thing happening at the moment.  These two colours just seem to work so well together.  I used a frame to make a shaker and filled it with a combination of two sequin mixes.  Paris in Springtime and Watermelon Spritzer. The bloom and sentiment come from the stamp set, Grace's Happy Heart. Be sure to visit the Kennedy Grace blog as yesterday kicked off the grand opening and release party.  Some gorgeous new products being released throughout the week followed by a blog hop that is sure to be amazing.  We have some wonderful guests joining us.

Hope to see you soon and be sure to pop back Friday for the Blog Hop.

Reach to the Stars

Hey there!!!  Hope all is well with you wherever you are.  We are just back to school after two weeks holiday.  We (as in myself and 4 teenagers) spent the first week at the beach and the weather was just perfect.  Beautiful autumn days starting with gorgeous sunrises.  For me the best time of the day at the beach is early in the morning when there is still a chill in the air and no one around with the sun coming up. I love leaving the first footprints in the sand.  It was a week of relaxing, reading books, watching movies and playing board games with the kids.  Really lucky to be able to do this and privileged  to spend such times with the kids.

Now I am back to work and have been working longer hours, which I have to say I am struggling with a little.  Its only for a little while so I shan't complain.

The card I am sharing today uses the lovely stamp set called "you Inspire Me" from Kennedy Grace Creations.  It also features the very pretty sequin mix called "Pink Champagne".  I turned it into a fun shaker card which works perfectly with this sentiment.

Hope to see you back again soon
