Marshmallow Bunny

Today its a Marshmallow Bunny.  Soft and squishy and delicious, isn't that what you are thinking?  I know thats what i thought so this card is soft colours and prettiness (if thats a word).

This new Frantic Stamper Inc die is so versatile.  Its part of the new Easter release and is available for pre order shipping 15th February.  The cute little face is a separate die so you can have a simple bunny silhouette.  Add the tail and you have a back view.  Add in the ears and face and you have a front view or you can do what I did and use the tail for paws and eyes for buttons.

My bunny is white with pink edges added with pencil.  He looks like a Marshmallow Bunny don't you think.  I cut borders with my other favourite die Scalloped borders and made a little paper bow.  I stamped Happy Birthday in a similar colour although it hasn't photographed quite as bright as it is on the card. Finished off with some little pearls.  Soft squishy and delicious.

Happy, Happy, Happy....

Thanks for popping back today.  I have another Frantic Stamper Inc die to showcase.  This one is the Happy Script die.

I really like word dies and this one is a lovely script and very versatile for all kinds of occasions.  Its a pretty quick and easy card to make but really bright and fun.  I cut 5 different coloured "happy's" and layered then under each other.  I used the Birthday stamp from the celebration set, with a bit of masking to remove the happy.  My final touch was to colour a wee monster from the Monster Mash Clear stamp set.  Couldn't resist added a bit more fun to this card.

This die is available for pre order also shipping 15th February.  Have you taken a look at the slideshow yet?  This is such a great release.

Peeking Bunnies

There is a new release at Frantic Stamper Inc to celebrate Easter.  I will be showcasing a few cards over the next few days but do pop over to the Blog to see the wonderful slideshow showcasing all the dies in this release with fabulous creations from the Design Team.  You won't be disappointed.

This card features the Peeking Bunny Square Die a series of three adorable little bunnies.  I double cut them to add the gingham accents and used a fine marker to add the whiskers.  I then cut a coloured square to put behind each bunny for some dimension and colour.  The border is cut with one of my favourite dies Stitched Scene Builder.  Final touch Celebrate stamp from the Celebration clear stamp set and some sequins.

This die is available for pre order,  shipping 15th Feb.  Its really cute right???

Scribble Roses

Today is a Frantic Stampers Inc post.

This is what I am calling a grown up card.  I haven't made a card like this in a while as I have been on a cute and quirky train. Not that, that train has left the station yet!!! I had two Frantic Stampers Inc dies I wanted to use.   Scribble Roses and Petite Butterflies.   First of all I watercolored a small piece of card in pastel colours. This would be my butterflies.   While that was drying I set to and die cut 12 or so large scribble roses.  I then arranged them on another piece of white card stock.  A couple I cut away the leaves so they fitted together better.  I backed the scribble rose panel onto a piece of pink just to lift it a little.  After stamping my sentiment and putting it up on foam I cut and placed my butterflies.  Five as I have learned balance equals odd numbers and apparently when we see things in odd numbers we don't tend to count them subconsciously like we do with things in even numbers.  Hence better harmony.....

Hugs, Hugs, Hugs.

This little cutie of an image is from one of the new trio sets from Lili of the Valley called Bunny Wishes.  Its a trio so of course this little fellow has two more stamps in the set.  Cuteness overload for sure.  If you missed out during the launch the Trios are all back in stock now.  I knew they would be popular.

The word "hugs" comes from the Frantic Stamper Inc Valentine Confetti die.  I cut several and made them into a row top and bottom. The bunny is popped up on foam as is the front panel.  I love how the bright red catches your eye and then draws you into the cute little bunny.

I am popping this into the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge hosted by Stamping Smiles Designs.
The row I chose is Hearts, Confetti and Sketch.

Well thanks for dropping by today.
Hope to see you again soon.

What's Up Chickie??

First things first, a warm welcome to Anne who has started following along.  Hope to see you back often.

I also have to mention that I have lost some followers due to google changing some setting or other.  Something to do with the way people comment.  Bit rude really,  so I hope you find your way back soon.

While I was away at the beach I stamped and coloured these cute little chickies.  They were actually great fun to colour.  The stamp is from Craftin Desert Divas.  Its a little 2x3 stamp with this image and a smaller one including the sentiment.  Such a cute little set.  I just love that little face.

With so many cute and colourful little chicks all over my piece of card I kept the layout very simple.  Placing the sentiment was the hardest part as I didn't want to cover any chickies up.  For that reason I stamped the words separately so I could get them on top of each other not n a single line.  Probably should have thought about that before I stamped and coloured.  Anyway love these little cuties!!!!

Today in New Zealand it is what we call Waitangi Day.  It is the day that commemorates the signing of the treaty between Maori Chiefs and the representatives of the British crown back in 1840.  The treaty of Waitangi is New Zealand's foundation document.  Waitangi is in the Bay of Islands in the North Island of New Zealand.  The original governors house is there along side a beautifully carved meeting house all set in gorgeous gardens leading down to the ocean.

Well thanks for calling in today.
Have a great weekend.

Patchwork Love....take #2

A few days back I blogged a card using the new trio from Lili of the Valley called Patchwork Love. There were 9 new trio sets launched on Thursday and as predicted they are just flying out the door. I knew everyone would love them.  And on top of such gorgeous new stamps you can get free worldwide shipping on all orders at the moment.  Pretty hard to resist.

Here is another card using only one of the stamps from the Patchwork Love trio.  Included in each set are little sentiments and I have used one of them to create my background paper.  For the background of the image I used a very, very light wash of palest pink and then using a series of little white dots made a pattern to give the look of lace.  Then I added glossy accents to the hearts for a bit of lift.  Finishing off with twine and a little button and a few sequins.  The trio sets really are great value.

The temperature has dropped a few degrees this evening due to a torrential downpour this afternoon. Thunder, lightning, the works.  I was driving at the time, having just dropped my daughter at her friends, and had to pull over and wait for it to ease as the visibility was so low.  Its a welcome relief after the humidity of the past week thats for sure.

Thanks for looking in today.
Hope you have a lovely day.
