Shakers gonna shake......

I am having fun making shaker cards, my next post is likely to be a shaker too, so be warned.  I have just ordered some more sequins as I only have a few left.  I never thought I'd be a sequin kind of girl but here I am in love with the little things.  I used the sketch from Paper Smooches Challenge for this card.  The frame is Paper Smooches Frame 2 and the butterfly and sentiment come from the flap happy stamp set.  The papers are from Lili of the Valley Romance and Roses collection.

I don't like to overfill the shaker with sequins and I also glued some down on the background so they float even when the shaker is still.

April Calendar Fairy Take2

As promised here is another look at the April Calendar Fairy, one of 12 being launched at Lili of the Valley this weekend.  Part of the launch also includes a range of gorgeous christmas images in true LOTV style.  Snowmen, puppy dogs and everything in between.

New Stamps coming to Lili of the Valley

You don't want to miss the new release coming soon over at Lili of the Vally.  Gorgeous Fairies are the feature. of the day.  The fairies for obvious reasons are called Calendar Fairies... can you figure out why???   Yes there are 12 of these pretty little fairies, one for each month of the year and a Month/Seasons sentiment sheet to go with them.

My little sneak image is called "April" and what a cutie she is too.

One of the many things I love about LOTV is the fact that their paper pads
can be mixed and matched.  This card uses
Up Up and Away
Always and Forever
and Pastel Dreams

Pop back in a couple of days and I will have another version of this stamp to share.
Thanks for stopping by.

Laughter is the best medicine......

Thats what they say and I think there is probably something in that.  This week at Paper Smooches it's another anything goes challenge.    I used the owl from the Chubby Chums stamp set...gotta love him.  He's coloured with Derwent coloursoft pencils. The die cut behind him is Paper Smooches Notebook Basic Die.  The design paper is from Lili of the Valley.

Before I show you my card, just a reminder to check out the new challenge at Southern Girls Challenge, there's still time to enter your creations using ink or paint or a combination of both.

I couldn't decide whether to sit the owl on something or not.  Everything I tried just wasn't right so went with the thought that he's coming in for a landing on the edge of the card.......

I have also popped this into the Simon Says Stamp Workit Wednesday for July.

LOTV Believe in your Dreams

I so enjoy working with LOTV products, from the papers to the stamps, what's not to love.  This is one of the new stamps launched 4th July and is from the Odd Dog Collection called Sleepy Book.  Isn't he just a cutie.  This is my second Design Collective Card for July.

He is coloured using the no line colour technique as I wanted a softer look.  Because he's "sleepy" I made a quilted background using Shabby Shack paper collection and hand drew stitching in white.  The frame is cut from Pastel Dreams and Paper Smooches Frame 2 die.  Finished off with a sentiment from Set 29 Vintage Sentiments - Just to Say, a twine bow and a little die cut heart.

Thanks for stopping by.

Spiegelmom Scraps Watercolour Challenge

Its been a fun week at Spiegelmom Scraps, there's been lots of very cool challenges to enter, all pushing the boundaries of my comfort zone.  This card is for the watercolour challenge and although I do colour with watercolours I haven't used them as a background feature before.  So not bad for a first attempt.  I even watercolored a piece of card to cut out the butterfly.

There's still time to enter the challenges so hurry over and take a look.

Paper Smooches Picture Challenge

This weeks Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge is a picture to be inspired by. Its a really neat picture when you look at it.  I love those little pebble birds.

I got out all my Paper Smooches supplies (I say "all" very loosely) and came up with this little card.  I used a sentiment stamp to replicate the the branch and added little moths using greys and browns, with white highlights and glitter. Moths are so under appreciated -  butterflies get all the lime light, well not on this card.  Both stamps are from the Paper Smooches Flap Happy stamp set.  You can find Paper Smooches here www.papersmoochesstamps.com.

Thanks for popping in!!
