Get your GIRLY on at Southern Girls.

Hi and welcome to another challenge at Southern Girls.  This round we want to see all your "girly" themes.  I was able to choose my own image for this challenge so I chose Nerdy Bunny from Gerda Steiner Designs.  Colours of pink and white..... can't get much more girly that that.  Hope to see you over at Southern Girls with all your wonderful creations.

Late But with Love

This little stamp is just the most perfect sentiment for me.  Seems I am always missing birthdays with no intention of ever doing so.  The sentiment and the cupcakes are from Gerda Steiner Designs first Clear Stamp Set.  I paper pieced the little cupcakes and the banner.  I am calling this Simple Shabby in style. Inspired by the challenge at the Shabby Tea Room.

Happy Valentines

Hope everyone was spoilt by their loved one today or tomorrow as the case may be for many.

For the past week we have had trucks and diggers and workmen crawling all over the street they have the footpath closed off, piles of dirt everywhere, huge coils of cable all in the name up upgrading the broadband in the area.  They park in the driveway so you can't get out and today, saturday they decided to turn off the water with no notification.  So consequently no washing or cleaning or even drinking water and a half empty fish tank.  They told me it would be back in an hour about 3 hours ago when I asked if by chance had they turned off the water.....

So I decide to catch up on some crafting and made this little card using a digital stamp from Gerda Steiner Designs.  I cut out the kitty and fitted flowers behind to give the appearance or the kitty popping out of the heart.

Its Sparkling over at Southern Girls Challenge

Happy New Year to all my lovely followers.  I hope 2015 brings you all lots of wonderful sunshine and smiles.

Here the sun is shining the ocean is sparkling (well it was when we were there a few days ago) and the kids are nearly back to school.  Summer holidays are coming to a close.  We have been lucky to get away a couple of times as a family and the kids have also had extra time away with friends.  Its been a great holiday.

The new challenge at Southern Girls hosted by Team Trace is Sparkle and Shine.  Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Southern Girls DT Call

Details of the Southern Girls DT Call.  Its a great group to belong to so if you think you may be interested take a look below.

Design Team Call at SGC 

Hard to believe that 6 months has nearly passed since our last call. We are on the hunt 

for some  DT Members for our happy little group. If you think you may be interested, 

check out the following info.......... 

We are an open blog so any type of paper crafters can apply. We are a 2 weekly challenge

and the team is split into 2 groups so you are only required to do 1 project per month most 

months. We have lots of fabulous sponsors and sometimes they give us images to work 

with (YAY). So check our sponsor list and if these companies are your thing. If you are a 

scrapbooker, PLer or OTP artist you will not need to work with the images unless you want 

to. We are pretty chatty, about loads of stuff not just crafting, so be prepared to work those 

fingers in our group message center on Facebook. 

You will need a blog.
You will need to be able to use digital images if you are a card maker.
You will need to be a member of facebook as this is where we do our communicating.
The term is 6 months with an option to reapply

Christmas Countdown

I don't know if you agree but my goodness Christmas comes around fast these days.  I am sure that someone is stealing months from us.

So of course the new challenge and the last one for this year at Southern Girls is XMAS so we would love to see all your festive creativity.

My card is made using the lovely digital image from Rick St. Dennis called "North Pole Sign".  It had a real vintage feel to me so I kept to a vintage style and coloured it in distress inks.
